Flexible flood hoses for effective water control

One of our key products in water control is the flexible flood hoses we develop and manufacture. Our internal flood hoses are specifically designed for quick and efficient handling – they are light enough to be deployed and moved by one person.

The system is equipped with an integrated cabling system that is both flexible and ultra-lightweight, making it ideal for rapid deployment and installation in demanding situations.

Buitink Floodhose HD12

Buitink Floodhose HD12 is a robust and reliable flood hose that we have been producing for over 20 years. It weighs only approx. 1.6 kg per meter (equivalent to 1.08 lbs/ft), making it very easy to handle manually.

Floodhose HD12 is supplied as standard in lengths of 10 and 20 meters, but can also be produced in other lengths on request.

• The HD12 Floodhose developed and manufactured by Buitink Technology has now been used successfully for 20 years to pump away water during floods.
• The HD12 Floodhose has been the standard in low-pressure (maximum 2 bar working pressure) high-flow flood hose for 20 years.
• A 10-meter long HD12 Flood hose weighs just 16 kg, including the connectors! Alternative hoses usually weigh at least twice as much.
• An HD12 flood hose (16 kg per 10 m, incl. the connectors) can therefore be easily moved, unrolled and connected (from a health and safety point of view) by just one person!

Connecting flood hoses

Connecting and disconnecting the Buitink flood hoses is easy and can be done by one to two people without tools.

Connect pump

To connect the hose to a (standard third-party) pump, we supply connections, which also increase from 10 to 12 inches in diameter, for example.

End piece / outlet flood hose

A socket supplied by us is often connected to the outlet side of the Buitinks HD12 Floodhose. This prevents the end of the hose from rattling and becoming damaged.

Packing and transportation

The HD12 flood hose is very compact to fold or roll up. In a 120x80x110 cm box/box, as many as 16 hoses with 10 meters of length (including connectors!) can be packed. The weight of a full box of 16 hoses is only 278 kg (approx. 1.7 kg per meter of hose).

Protection on rough surfaces

In situations involving very uneven ground (e.g. rocks or sharp stones), the standard HD12 Floodhose will not always be completely sufficient and may leak. Incidentally, an HD12 floodhose will leak in the event of a hole (puncture), but will not tear further or so on.

To protect against rough, sharp surfaces, we can supply removable protective covers made of aramid fabric. These can then be mounted around the hoses (or placed under them) in places where the surface is too rough.

Tailor-made

Because we develop and manufacture the hoses in-house, we can also offer customized solutions.
Our standard Floodhose HD12 has a maximum working pressure of 2 bar. Not only can we supply larger diameters, but it is also possible to make a hose with a higher working pressure.

We can also make hoses with, for example, aramid fabric for extra strength and puncture resistance. Or we can choose a material with special properties, for example in terms of chemical resistance or antistatic properties.

We can also combine our developed couplings, connectors and outlets with existing hoses on the market. Often these hoses are sold without end fittings on the roll, to which we then make the desired couplings and outlets. This can be seen in the pictures below, where the dark blue parts are a standard PVC hose from Kuriyama and the light blue parts are added by us.
