Case: Soundproofing "cigars" – The Hague City Hall

A concrete example is the development of soundproof decorative objects , made on request for the City Hall of The Hague. Here the challenge was to dampen room sound while preserving the visual expression in an open and bright environment.

The solution was so-called "sound cigars" – hanging elements covered with specially developed, translucent sailcloth and filled with acoustically absorbing material. The result was an effective and elegant sound regulation – integrated into the architecture.
