Inflatable sealing covers for open containers – supplied by FabriQ
FabriQ Innovation AS , in collaboration with Buitink Technology , offers custom-made inflatable covers for containers and open containers. These solutions are used when containers are filled with liquid, bulk materials or other contents that need to be sealed from above – either during storage or transport, for example at sea.
The cover is shaped to your specifications, providing a flexible, lightweight and secure solution that eliminates the need for heavy and unwieldy metal lids.

Inflatable covers are used, among other things, to seal containers filled with contaminated water at sea. Unlike steel covers – which are often heavy, difficult to handle and prone to deformation – inflatable covers provide a light, tight and safe solution that can withstand the stresses of sea conditions and movements on board.

FAQs about inflatable covers
What measurements must be provided when ordering?
For custom covers, we need the inside dimensions of the container or bin to be sealed. We already have standard dimensions for 20- and 40-foot containers.
Does the cover have to be square?
No. We can produce rectangular, round, triangular and combined shapes – based on custom drawings or sketches.
How is the cover filled with air?
The cover comes with a filling valve. We can adapt the valve to suit the pump, compressor or air hose you use. Low pressure system – max. 1 bar.
Do I need a special pump?
No. A good hand pump is often sufficient. For faster inflation, an electric pump can be used.
Is the cover always the same thickness?
Standard thickness is approximately 30 cm, but we offer different heights and pressure-dependent variants to suit your needs.
